Exhibits
Staff Picks
This was an exhibit that we put up in the summer of 2024. The staff at the libraries submitted their favorite books and we made a whole exhibit for everyone to view!

Photo Montage
The other exhibit I did during the summer of 2024 was a photo montage of all the libraries. We did this showing all the libraries since Chem-Bio is coming down with the Crosely Tower. I took pre-existing photos from past co-ops and some that I took of the libraries, made an collage with little snip-its about each library.
This was after I had it got all the responses from everyone in the library, and was just laying it out to see what it looked like.
After I had it laid out, I added a colored background and then played with how to the text was displayed. It was supposed to look fun and like comment cards on a bulletin board. We also had the book covers printed on styrofoam that we stuck on the big sheets. Down below is it being displayed on the 4th floor of Langsam Library.

The Art of Bookplates
This was done in the spring of 2025. This exhibit was about bookplates that are inside a lot of books in the library and the history of what they are, where they came from, etc.
Iteration 1
This is was a first draft of the exhibit. This one was really challenging for me because I was having to figure out what goes in the info boxes, and I didn’t have a vision right away. So, I went to the stacks and pulled out books with the bookplates and organized them on a table and translated that over digitally.
Poetry in the Library
As part of my co-op with Tire Discounters, I had the opportunity to attend the Cavalcade Car Show where we sponsored the event and had a booth set up to give information about Tire Discounters and it’s acquisitions.
Iteration 1
This is a crude mock-up of what we were doing in this exhibit. A lot of the stuff I had were prints from the 60’s-90’s from the poetry archive.
Here it is displayed on the 6th floor of Langsam Library. I also edited the video of us putting it up on our instagram, to view it click here. (I need to upload a photo)

Here it is displayed on the 5th floor of Langsam Library. Definitely had more fun with it than shown above. I made it look like photos were chaotically organized with the snip-its about the libraries being on red “post-it” cards.

Stickers
Idea
The idea with these stickers was for all the libraries, however, these won’t be distributed until Chem-Bio merges with the GMP library, making it the “Science Library”. We needed a new sticker for the libraries, and they needed to be smaller than the existing stickers, because the ones that we had we giant. I came up with stickers for each major that the library represents. For example, DAAP got stickers for industrial design, communication design, architecture, fashion, and planning. I made over 20 stickers for people to pick and choose their major in the form of a sticker. The only one not based on a major is Langsam.
Iteration 1
This was what they originally looked like. I had designed them to be 1”x2“, however, it was going to be really expensive to print them like that so we went a different direction.
Final
This is the direction we went with, they are 2” circular stickers.
Coming Soon
One of the ways the team is going to introduce the stickers is through this is a sort of bingo/scavenger hunt that they are going to make for incoming freshman during Welcome Week. It is supposed to be a trifold brochure with the instructions/promotion and then on the inside, there is a “Bearcat” bingo board for them to collect stickers from the other libraries on campus. The goal is for them to get a sticker in each category to receive “UC Libraries Swag”.

Objective
The communication design co-op comes up with the branding that year, what the event is going to look like, how the event is going to be promoted, etc. It is pretty open ended, and you don’t really have to stick with UC Library Brand guidelines.
Brand Development
Since it was in the spring, I felt that the pastels would be fun and different from the past years. The logo came from playing with the idea of “Edible Books” and I have it “taking a bit out of the books”.
Photography
Poetry Stacked
During my time in the spring, I was able to attend and photograph 3 Poetry Stacked Events.
